Note this is not a grief support group but an ancestral ritual to deepen a connection to your departed loved one. Should you be in the throes of grief this may not be the event for you. Please contact the host if you have any questions.
November 1st, 6:30-8:30pm
with Adrianna Prosser
Sliding scale; suggested donation $20
Many cultures and religions celebrate autumn as the time to honor their dead. Dining with the dead is a Celtic pagan tradition for when the veil is thin during Samhain; a “dumb supper” is a silent feast with your dead loved ones where you call upon them with their favourite foods to remind them of this plane of existence. Eating in silence with your decedants nourishes you both so as to listen full body to any sensations or messages from the beyond. Adrianna, a Daughter of Brigantia and Death Doula, will be your host and guide you through an evening of ancestral work and connections. Please bring a photo of your loved one and a dish that they loved ready to serve 10 people and an ingredient list for attendees to read. Plates, cutlery, and cups will be provided. We will be using incense and candles as part of our ritual.
