As I get set to celebrate my 42nd birthday next week, which to us nerds is the “Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything,” I am pleased to say that I was accepted into Algoma University for my BSW thus continuing my work as a Death Doula to graduate in the future as a grief counselor and educator.
As my Grandmother Dolly Barkhouse would say, “time passes anyway, so do things you love,” and I have found it rewarding to help those facing death or facing their grief for the past decade so I am choosing to level up and become a therapist, or as my celtic ancestors might say an Anam Cara.
So here’s to the next part of this journey.
